Mahesh Nayak Intern
Mahesh Nayak was born in 1988 and completed his schooling from The Mother's International School in Delhi. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Hindu College, Delhi University, where he secured a first division. Having a strong interest in management, he spent the summers of 2007 and 2008 at the LSE Summer School honing his marketing and human resource management skills. It is here that he developed a passion for Social Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility.
His interest in management was given serious vent while interning with an online newspaper, “The Viewspaper,” as a part of its HR and marketing team for six months. The start-up inspired entrepreneurial thinking and provided him with a perfect platform to interact with young writers and budding entrepreneurs. He's also interned with Swechha-We for Change Foundation for four months where he worked on a project called “Monsoon Wooding”; a campaign aimed at sensitizing youth about the gravity of the state’s depleting green cover. When he wants to take a breather, Mahesh spends time strumming his guitar and listening to music. He enjoys traveling, collecting old music albums and gramophone CDs. He is also fond of watching plays, movies and documentaries of various genres.
He plans to study management in the near future and use the knowledge gained to work in a field related to social businesses and CSR. At CSM, Mahesh is working on our resource materials on climate change with a specific focus on corporate and social enterprises.
